Invent new applications, build on existing IoT platforms, or create your own. And don't worry about the singularity, we're sure everything will be 200 OK.

What to build:

A new application of hardware hack that connects a physical thing to the Internet. Have fun with it!

Can I submit something I've already built?

Sure, but you must add something new for this hackathon.

Does it have to work IRL?

YES! Mockups and slideshows are boring. Show us something we can use. It doesn't have to be in the app store or open source, but we do have to be able to test it.

What's in it for me?

Our sponsor Weaved has generously donated a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced Quadcopter Drone and we've also got prizes from Digital Ocean, Major League Hacking, and more.

I want to participate, but I don't know where / how to start. Halp!

No problemo. We've compiled a list of data sources, APIs, libraries, examples, tutorials, and ideas just for you.

Want to hack using the Weaved IoT Plug?

The Weaved IoT Plug is a fully programmable device that let’s any developer prototype products. With on-board Wifi, it’s possible to extend an existing network. Or add bluetooth via the USB port to control other devices remotely. The Plug also includes an IR repeater, providing full control of almost any IR device, such as those found in AV equipment.

Use it for your Summer Jam project: Give Weaved a proposal of what you want to do here and you may qualify for a FREE plug for your project.

How can I find a teammate?

Head over to the participants page and reach out to a fellow hacker.
